The all-time leading goalscorer for Chelsea scoring 211 goals in all competitions, after playing with them for 13 years. One of the best midfielders of his generation. Described by many as Chelsea's greatest ever player, making 164 consecutive Premier League appearances, a record for an outfield player. Voted Player of the year for both team and country numerous times, he was England top goal scorer in the 2006 World Cup, and also their most prolific penalty taker ever. He is currently now playing out his career in the MLS, for New York City FC.
